Membership Levels

Professional Member

Individuals who devote more than 75% of their working time in association management activities of
voluntary, not-for-profit membership organizations, such as trade, professional, educational, philanthropic, service, technical or similar associations or societies.

Individual Yearly Dues: $225.00

Have multiple members from the same company?  Join as a group and save on Professional Membership.

2-4 Individuals from the Same Organization - $425.00

5-10 Individuals from the Same Organization - $825.00

11-15 Individuals - $1,100.00

16-24 Individuals - $1,650.00

25 or More Individuals - $2,750.00


Become a Professional Member

Associate Member

Associate Members play a vital role in our industry. These members include essential vendors and professionals such as hotel and city sales staff, publishers, marketers, and the other number of professional service providers that serve the association professional members of MASAE.

Individual Yearly Dues: $400.00

  • Connect with Professional Members who represent their respective associations.
  • Attend meetings and events in order to understand the trends and challenges of association management.
  • Exhibit at the Annual Conference & Exhibition where you can showcase your products and services to the association market.
  • Become a resource for members to turn to for assistance in your area of expertise.
  • Sponsor education meetings that provide you with a forum for marketing your products/services and directly interacting with association executives.
  • Use networking opportunities to socialize and form relationships with association executives.
  • Join members at the Annual Golf Outing and take part in the numerous golf sponsorship opportunities.
  • Take a more active role in MASAE by volunteering to serve on a committee.
  • Reach out to this all-important business segment, where association activities create millions of dollars in revenue annually for meeting facilities and service providers.

Additional Associate Membership from the same organization - $150.00

Up to Four Associate Memberships from the same organization - $675.00


Become an Associate Member

Student Member

MASAE is committed to providing a comprehensive resource center for students to learn about the functions and benefits of a career in association management.  We offer reduced membership fees and full access to the MASAE member resources to college students interested in this field.  Student Membership is open to matriculating undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university, and extended through their first year post-graduation date.

Yearly Dues:  $40

  • Students must produce an updated college ID
  • As a student, the member will maintain their student membership status for the first year following graduation. At that point, they must reestablish membership as a Professional Member.
  • Students must sign the MASAE code of ethics.
  • Eligibility for renewal requires the student either: Complete a membership survey or write a 75 word rationale for renewing.

Retired Member

Your connection to the industry doesn't need to end when you retire.  Any individual who was a Professional Member in good standing for at least ten consecutive years and who retired from employment. Retired Members shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of Professional Members, with the following exceptions: Retired Members shall not be entitled to hold elected offices in the Society or vote on any matters.

Yearly Dues: $100
